The historic neighborhood of Logan Circle in Washington, DC was developed in the late 19th century as a residential neighborhood for the city’s growing middle and upper classes. Then in the early 20th century, its more affluent residents moved to other parts of the city, and the area became increasingly urbanized. Significant redevelopment in the 1960s and 70s resulted the demolition of many of its historic homes and the erection of large, modern apartment buildings.

In the 1980s and 90s, the neighborhood underwent a resurgence and many of its historic homes were restored, and new restaurants, shops and galleries opened. Today, Logan Circle is a walkable urban neighborhood known for its vibrant arts and cultural scene, and a popular destination for visitors who come to explore its many historic landmarks including Pulitzer Prize-winning author Henry Adams’ house, the former home of Abraham Lincoln’s Secretary of State William Seward and the Mary McLeod Bethune Memorial which honors the African American educator and civil rights leader. Nearby are the National Mall, 14th Street Corridor, Shaw and Dupont Circle neighborhoods, Blagden Alley cultural hub, Howard Theatre and CityCenterDC.

There’s a lot to do and see in the Logan Circle area, so home and business owners don’t have time to think about how to remove and dispose of old furniture. That’s why they choose 123JUNK.

Convenient Furniture Removal and Donation

There’s nothing like the feeling of getting new furniture for your home or office. But who wants the chore of getting rid of the old furniture? It’s bulky, heavy and usually requires several people and considerable time to haul it away.

123JUNK offers 123JUNK for furniture removal and donation services services to residents of Logan Circle. When you have furniture that’s too good to throw away, consider donating it. We’ll pick up your donation and carry it to one of our local charity partners who can repurpose it or sell it to raise money to help more needy residents. You’ll receive a receipt for tax deductions.

For recyclable items, we’ll divide those out and take them over to the appropriate recycling center where their parts and components can be sorted and processed. You don’t need to sort items yourself, our experienced team is trained in how to classify how we’ll dispose of your furniture on your behalf.

123JUNK is committed to minimal-waste junk and furniture removal, meaning we want to keep as much out of area landfills as we can. It’s part of our 1-2-3 process of Donate-Recycle-Dispose .

Our 1-2-3 Process

123JUNK doesn’t just load our trucks with your contents and haul them to the dump. We have a defined process for sorting and donating your items to a robust network of local municipalities, school districts and nonprofit organizations. We can even provide disposal reports for LEED certification, with a breakdown of where your items were distributed. Our objective is to keep your items out of the landfill.

1 Donate

You select the junk you want removed. We take it to one of many local donation partners. Your unused items make it to a good cause!

2 Recycle

If it can’t be donated, we take care to ensure that as many items are recycled as possible. Our goal from the start: reduce landfill waste.

3 DisposeTM

After items have been donated and recycled, the remaining items get hauled away as safely and carefully as possible. See what we take!
