Our 1-2-3 Process
123JUNK doesn’t just load our trucks with your contents and haul them to the dump. We have a defined process for sorting and donating your items to a robust network of local municipalities, school districts and nonprofit organizations. We can even provide disposal reports for LEED certification, with a breakdown of where your items were distributed. Our objective is to keep your items out of the landfill.

You select the junk you want removed. We take it to one of many local donation partners. Your unused items make it to a good cause!
If it can’t be donated, we take care to ensure that as many items are recycled as possible. Our goal from the start: reduce landfill waste.
After items have been donated and recycled, the remaining items get hauled away as safely and carefully as possible. See what we take!

Springfield, VA Labor Only Services FAQs
I bought a new refrigerator, and the delivery guys won’t take the old one. Can you help?
Yes, this is a very common call we get. Delivery crews often have strict rules or high fees for removal. We can schedule a pickup to coincide with your delivery—either just before so the space is clear, or immediately after so you aren’t stuck with two fridges in your kitchen.
My old stove still works; I’m just upgrading to stainless steel. Do you trash it?
If it is in working condition and clean, we will do our best to donate it. We partner with local charities that help families in the Northern Virginia area. If we can successfully donate your stove, range, or dryer, we will send you a tax-deductible receipt.
How do you dispose of appliances that are broken?
We are committed to eco-friendly disposal. For items like refrigerators, freezers, and air conditioners that contain Freon (refrigerants), we ensure they are taken to a facility where the hazardous chemicals are safely drained before the metal is recycled. This prevents harm to the local Springfield ecosystem.
Do you service commercial businesses in Springfield?
Yes. We work with many businesses in the Shirley Industrial Park and office buildings along Backlick Road. We can remove commercial-grade refrigerators, breakroom microwaves, old water coolers, and office electronics.
What specific appliances do you take?
We remove almost any household appliance, including:
Kitchen: Refrigerators, freezers, dishwashers, trash compactors, microwaves.
Laundry: Washers, dryers, and drying cabinets.
HVAC/Utility: Window A/C units, dehumidifiers, water heaters, and electric heaters.
Small Appliances: Vacuums, fans, and robotics.
