The types of appliances we haul include:
Bethesda, Maryland’s history dates back several centuries, from its beginnings surrounding the Bethesda Meeting House around 1820 to its growth boom following World War II when many government agencies and defense contractors established offices in the area and the National Institutes of Health (NIH) moved its headquarters here. Contemporary Bethesda has evolved into a major business and commercial center with numerous corporate headquarters, high-end shopping centers like Bethesda Row, and upscale residential neighborhoods.
People choose to live here due to its proximity to Washington DC, top-notch educational institutions, strong job market, upscale amenities and shopping, natural beauty and outdoor recreation, and cultural and entertainment options. Its vibrant arts and entertainment scene include the Strathmore performing arts center and the annual Bethesda Film Festival. And families can always enjoy the Clara Barton National Historic Site and home of the founder of the American Red Cross; Great Falls Park; and Glen Echo Park that features art studios, a carousel, a vintage dance pavilion and various festivals throughout the year.
Don’t Spend Your Weekend Removing Appliances. Let 123JUNK Do it for You.
Weekends are for relaxing—not for hassling with old appliances. Appliances are big, bulky, and some cannot be just taken to the landfill due to the fact that they contain hazardous chemicals. Do you want to spend your weekend researching how to get rid of old appliances, and then recruiting friends and family to help you haul them away? No!
The easiest way to dispose of old appliances is to contact 123JUNK. Our professional crew is trained on the proper methods of appliance removal - from the correct ways to load heavy appliances onto a truck without injuring themselves, to the right places to take them.
You’ll Be Doing Your Part for our Environment Too
123JUNK is known for our thoughtful 1-2-3 process of donate-recycle-dispose that helps keep old appliances out of our area landfills. We look for appliances that still work, and donate them to our local charity partners where they can have new life in someone else’s home, or be sold to raise money for charity programs. If you have appliances to donate, we’ll even provide you with a receipt for your taxes.
The second thing we look for are recyclables. We’ll cull out metals and items with hazardous chemicals like Freon or mercury and deliver them to their appropriate recycling centers. Only then do we make that last trip to the landfill.

123JUNK doesn’t just load our trucks with your contents and haul them to the dump. We have a defined process for sorting and donating your items to a robust network of local municipalities, school districts and nonprofit organizations. We can even provide disposal reports for LEED certification, with a breakdown of where your items were distributed. Our objective is to keep your items out of the landfill.
You select the junk you want removed. We take it to one of many local donation partners. Your unused items make it to a good cause!
If it can’t be donated, we take care to ensure that as many items are recycled as possible. Our goal from the start: reduce landfill waste.
After items have been donated and recycled, the remaining items get hauled away as safely and carefully as possible. See what we take!
