With Northern Virginia opening back up, there are a variety of events happening this Memorial Day weekend. Like any local business, our junk removal team is looking forward to honoring veterans for their services and seeing the vibrant lineup of events take place – candlelight vigils, music, entertainment, and more. Viva Vienna is a family and community-oriented celebration of Memorial Day and the greater Vienna Community spirit. Amusement rides, food, crafts, vendors and entertainment – fun for all ages! Vendors include handcraft artisans, retail vendors, professionals, political parties and candidates, and community and non-profit organizations. Reduced number of guests and 160 vendors socially distanced. 100% of proceeds go to charitable, community and humanitarian organizations.

Attend the Annual Strawberry Festival at Great Country Farms in Loudoun County Virginia to celebrate the royal strawberry, the jubilee is packed with live music, farm contests, wagon rides, great food and fun games for the whole family! Great Food abounds at the Roosteraunt Concession Stand, Knead It Bakery and Henway Hard Cider by the pond. Savor Cider Donuts, Strawberry Lemonade, hand-dipped ice cream and baked goods including strawberry rhubarb pies.

The City of Alexandria launches into Memorial Day Weekend with an evening of world-class jazz by the waterfront. The 43rd Alexandria Jazz Festival is Saturday, May 29, from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Oronoco Bay Park (100 Madison Street). Critically acclaimed artists Joel Ross ‘Good Vibes,’ Eric Byrd Trio, VERONNEAU, and Cubano Groove perform bossa nova, contemporary, straight and Latin jazz into the evening.
The Recreation and Parks Department is pleased to announce the return of the Annual City of Falls Church Memorial Day event. 2021 is the 39th year of this community tradition, and this year’s event will include many of the familiar festivities and ceremonies from previous Memorial Day celebrations (in addition to a few new activities) while ensuring the safest environment for participants and guests.
Rolling to Remember hosts various events to honor veterans at national sites, such as the Arlington National Cemetery. Join the community in paying tribute to those who have served and those who are still unaccounted for in the following memorial services.
