Our Common Mission: Protecting our Environment
Like others in your Tysons neighborhoods, you have a common goal: protecting the beauty and viability of your environment. When we started 123JUNK here in Northern Virginia, we made it our mission too. That’s why we developed our 1-2-3 process of donate-recycle-dispose.
- If your appliance is in good working order—maybe you are upgrading to a newer model—we’ll donate your old appliance to one of our local charity partners. This way it can be used to help other families.
- If your appliance is no longer working, we’ll deliver it to the appropriate recycling center where its components and hazardous materials like refrigerants, mercury, oil and lead can be safely recovered and disposed of properly.
- And when you schedule your pickup appointment for your old appliance, think about other items you’d like to dispose of. We’ll donate or recycle what we can, and only then take any remaining items or materials to the landfill. It’s our part in taking care of the communities in which we live and work.

Upscale Urban Living in Tysons, Virginia
Tysons, Virginia has a relatively short but dynamic history. Originally a rural crossroads in Fairfax County, it began its transformation in the 1960s when plans were developed to create a major business and commercial hub in Northern Virginia. Construction of the Capital Beltway and the Dulles Toll Road facilitated its growth.
Now, Tysons (formerly known as Tysons Corner) is a bustling urban center known for its corporate offices, government agencies and world-class shopping malls like Tysons Corner Center and Tysons Galleria. As Tysons continues to develop, so do its residential communities, both urban and suburban, offering modern living spaces, convenience and proximity to Washington, DC.
Our 1-2-3 Process
123JUNK doesn’t just load our trucks with your contents and haul them to the dump. We have a defined process for sorting and donating your items to a robust network of local municipalities, school districts and nonprofit organizations. We can even provide disposal reports for LEED certification, with a breakdown of where your items were distributed. Our objective is to keep your items out of the landfill.

You select the junk you want removed. We take it to one of many local donation partners. Your unused items make it to a good cause!
If it can’t be donated, we take care to ensure that as many items are recycled as possible. Our goal from the start: reduce landfill waste.
After items have been donated and recycled, the remaining items get hauled away as safely and carefully as possible. See what we take!

We’ll Donate and Recycle up to 100% of your unwanted items.
123JUNK Charity Partners
When you donate, you reduce waste and prevent useful items from ending up in landfills.
Less rubbish means a cleaner planet and that’s something we can all get behind.
Since we began
Our goal has been to keep Tysons, VA clean and to keep waste out of landfills.
