Nobody wants to spend their weekend hauling away old appliances when there are so many other things to enjoy. That’s why we established 123JUNK to help our local residents with these big tasks. You don’t need to gather friends, find a pickup truck or injure your back to load a massive refrigerator—let us do this job for you.
At 123JUNK, our professional team is trained in the proper way to dispose of old appliances. You can’t just take them to the landfill—they won’t be accepted there because many contain hazardous materials and chemicals. Instead, they must be delivered to an approved recycling center for disposal.
Another option many Silver Spring residents enjoy is donation of their older, but working appliances. They get a good feeling knowing that their old refrigerator, air conditioner or microwave will go to help another area family. We’ll deliver your donated appliances to one of our local charity partners and provide you with a receipt for tax purposes.
When you have appliances you’d like to donate or dispose of, contact 123JUNK. You’ll speak to one of team members who will explain our transparent and simple pricing and help schedule your pickup appointment.

123JUNK is well known and respected for its 1-2-3 process of Donate-Recycle-Dispose. We started our company in 2008 with the philosophy of environmental protection and made it our commitment to keep as much out of area landfills as possible. As a local company, it’s our way of protecting the environment where we and our team members live and work. And by using us, you also do your part to help save our planet for future generations.
You select the junk you want removed. We take it to one of many local donation partners. Your unused items make it to a good cause!
If it can’t be donated, we take care to ensure that as many items are recycled as possible. Our goal from the start: reduce landfill waste.
After items have been donated and recycled, the remaining items get hauled away as safely and carefully as possible. See what we take!
The construction of the Silver Spring Metro Station in 1978 enhanced accessibility and spurred development, resulting in a vibrant urban center with a mix of residential, commercial and cultural offerings, and a rich tapestry of cultures, cuisines and traditions. Residents here enjoy its inclusive community, entertainment options like the AFI Silver Theatre and Cultural Center, and several parks and green spaces including Sligo Creek Park and Wheaton Regional Park.
