Our 1-2-3 Process
123JUNK doesn’t just load our trucks with your contents and haul them to the dump. We have a defined process for sorting and donating your items to a robust network of local municipalities, school districts and nonprofit organizations. We can even provide disposal reports for LEED certification, with a breakdown of where your items were distributed. Our objective is to keep your items out of the landfill.

You select the junk you want removed. We take it to one of many local donation partners. Your unused items make it to a good cause!
If it can’t be donated, we take care to ensure that as many items are recycled as possible. Our goal from the start: reduce landfill waste.
After items have been donated and recycled, the remaining items get hauled away as safely and carefully as possible. See what we take!
Vienna, VA Appliance Removal Services FAQs
Do you recycle old refrigerators and air conditioners that contain Freon?
Yes. This is a critical part of our eco-friendly promise. Older appliances contain refrigerants, oils, and sometimes PCBs that are illegal to dump in landfills. We ensure these units are taken to certified recycling facilities where hazardous chemicals are safely drained and processed before the metal is recycled.
My dishwasher is still working; I’m just upgrading. Can it be donated?
Absolutely. If your appliance is less than 10 years old, clean, and in good working order, we will attempt to donate it to partners like the Habitat for Humanity ReStore (often the one in Chantilly or Alexandria). If we succeed, we’ll mail you a tax-deductible receipt. This is a great way to support the local community while upgrading your kitchen.
Do you remove built-in appliances like wall ovens or dishwashers?
Yes, provided they are disconnected first.
Plug-in units: We can unplug and remove them immediately.
Hardwired/Gas units: For safety reasons, we ask that you have a plumber, electrician, or qualified contractor disconnect gas lines or hardwired electrical connections before we arrive. Once disconnected, we can pull them out and haul them away.
What types of appliances do you take?
e take almost everything, including:
Kitchen: Refrigerators, freezers, dishwashers, ranges, microwaves, and trash compactors.
Laundry: Washers and dryers.
Climate: Window A/C units, dehumidifiers, and water heaters (must be drained).
Small Appliances: Vacuums, mini-fridges, and wine coolers.
How much does it cost to remove a single appliance?
We charge by volume (how much space it takes on the truck), with a minimum pickup fee. Since a single refrigerator or stove takes up a specific amount of space, we can often give you a very accurate estimate over the phone. Call us at (800) 364-5778 for a quote.

We’ll Donate and Recycle up to 100% of your unwanted items.
