The 123JUNK 1-2-3 Process of Appliance Removal
When we started 123JUNK in 2008, we made it our commitment to helping protect our local communities’ environments. To make getting rid of an old appliance easy, we offer appliance removal services in three ways through our 1-2-3 process of donate-recycle-dispose we’re known for.
Donate. If your appliance is working, but perhaps is just older, consider donating it. 123JUNK will remove your appliances and deliver them directly to one of our local charity partners where they can be sold to raise money for area programs, or repurposed for another local family’s use.
Recycle. If you have non-working appliances, our professional team members know where to take them for responsible recycling. That way, the chemicals and components can be carefully disposed of or turned into new products.
Dispose. After the first two methods, our last step is to take whatever is left over to the landfill. And while we’re picking up your old appliances anyway, think about what else you’d like us to take for donation, recycling or disposal. It’s an easy way to clear out items you no longer want or need.

McLean, Virginia, a Desirable Suburban Enclave
McLean, Virginia was named after John McLean, a former newspaper publisher and owner of the Washington Metro Company in the mid-19th century. Beginning as primarily an agrarian community, McLean’s proximity to Washington, DC made it a desirable location, sparking its transformation into an affluent suburban enclave. The establishment of prestigious institutions like the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) further contributed to its growth.
Today, McLean is an attractive choice for homeowners due to its upscale and quiet residential neighborhoods, excellent public and private schools, and easy access to the employment opportunities and cultural amenities of Washington, DC. Its leafy streets, upscale shopping and strong sense of community add to its appeal, making McLean a coveted residential destination.
Our 1-2-3 Process
123JUNK doesn’t just load our trucks with your contents and haul them to the dump. We have a defined process for sorting and donating your items to a robust network of local municipalities, school districts and nonprofit organizations. We can even provide disposal reports for LEED certification, with a breakdown of where your items were distributed. Our objective is to keep your items out of the landfill.

You select the junk you want removed. We take it to one of many local donation partners. Your unused items make it to a good cause!
If it can’t be donated, we take care to ensure that as many items are recycled as possible. Our goal from the start: reduce landfill waste.
After items have been donated and recycled, the remaining items get hauled away as safely and carefully as possible. See what we take!

We’ll Donate and Recycle up to 100% of your unwanted items.
123JUNK Charity Partners
When you donate, you reduce waste and prevent useful items from ending up in landfills.
Less rubbish means a cleaner planet and that’s something we can all get behind.
Since we began
Our goal has been to keep McLean, VA clean and to keep waste out of landfills.
