About Leesburg, Virginia
Leesburg, Virginia is a town filled with history dating back to Colonial times. It was originally settled in the early 18th century and named after Thomas Lee, the father of Revolutionary War hero Henry “Light-Horse Harry” Lee. Established as a town in 1758, it quickly grew as a trading and agricultural center.
During the American Revolution, Leesburg was a key location for military and political activities in Northern Virginia, hosting the Leesburg Resolution in 1775 which expressed support for the Continental Congress’ efforts towards independence from British Rule. By the 20th century, Leesburg had become a hub for industry and transportation and its economy thrived.
In recent decades, Leesburg has focused on preserving its historic character through its many well-preserved buildings. Its downtown area features a mix of shops, restaurants and businesses while retaining its historic charm. As the county seat of Loudoun County, it is known for its picturesque landscapes, wineries and small-town atmosphere, along with a blend of historical attractions, cultural events and outdoor activities. It is a desired residential destination due to its strong sense of community, high quality of life, strong education system and proximity to Washington, DC.
Our 1-2-3 Process
123JUNK doesn’t just load our trucks with your contents and haul them to the dump. We have a defined process for sorting and donating your items to a robust network of local municipalities, school districts and nonprofit organizations. We can even provide disposal reports for LEED certification, with a breakdown of where your items were distributed. Our objective is to keep your items out of the landfill.

You select the junk you want removed. We take it to one of many local donation partners. Your unused items make it to a good cause!
If it can’t be donated, we take care to ensure that as many items are recycled as possible. Our goal from the start: reduce landfill waste.
After items have been donated and recycled, the remaining items get hauled away as safely and carefully as possible. See what we take!
Leesburg, VA Appliance Removal Service FAQs
Do you charge extra for appliances with Freon?
We include the logistics in our service, but these items require special handling.
Why? The Loudoun County Landfill (on Woods Rd) charges specific fees for refrigerant-containing items and has strict environmental rules. We ensure your old freezer, dehumidifier, or window A/C unit is taken to a certified facility where the chemicals are drained safely.
My appliance still works. Will you donate it?
Yes. We support the Loudoun Habitat for Humanity mission. While the Leesburg ReStore location has changed, we transport good-condition appliances to the nearest Habitat ReStore or other local partners. If accepted, you receive a tax-deductible receipt.
Do you take commercial appliances?
Yes. We serve the restaurants in downtown Leesburg and the businesses at the Village at Leesburg. We can remove commercial refrigerators, pizza ovens, and deep fryers. We can schedule pickups early in the morning to avoid blocking customer traffic or disrupting your lunch rush.
Do you take hot water heaters?
Yes, but they must be fully drained and disconnected first.
Safety First: We are not licensed plumbers. You (or a professional) must disconnect the gas/electric/water lines. Once the unit is disconnected and empty, our crew will haul it out of your basement or utility closet.
Do you service gated communities?
Absolutely. We are very familiar with the vendor access protocols for River Creek, Lansdowne on the Potomac, and Raspberry Falls. Our uniformed trucks and professional crews present well and comply with all HOA parking and noise regulations.
