During these unprecedented times, we take our role as an essential service provider seriously and we remain open to service our customers. We understand that everyone is very concerned with the potential spread of the Coronavirus. We’re following the guidelines put in place by the federal government, local governments and the CDC.
Below are some of the safety precautions we’ve implemented to protect our team and our clients:
We’re offering discounts for our customers who are able to stage their items outside of their property for pickup
We’re vetting our customers before scheduling appointments and while en-route to make sure they’re not showing signs and symptoms of illness
If the customer has access to masks or face covers, we ask that they wear them (if masks are unavailable, please maintain a safe distance of 6 feet at all times)
We are sending home any staff member exhibiting any symptoms of illness for the recommended period of time established by the CDC
All team members have been assigned masks and gloves
We are not assigning more than two team members to a truck
Our trucks and equipment are being disinfected daily
We’ve shut down our office from outside visitors and anybody who can work virtually is being encouraged to work from home
The company continues to hold regular team-wide virtual meetings to emphasize transparency and keep the lines of communication open
The decision to come to work remains 100% voluntary
123JUNK will be participating in its 2nd annual Plane Pull Competition at Dulles Airport in September. The event is a long way off, but it’s never too early to get the word out and allow people to start volunteering and donating to a great cause.
All donated money goes to benefit Special Olympics Virginia, a program that provides opportunity for people with developmental disabilities.
So much of 123JUNK’s business is centered on relocation—downsizing, home staging, and residential cleanouts—that it’s easy to forget that we can also help people who are staying right where they are. Instead of selling and relocating, many homeowners are electing to simply upgrade their current homes and stay put. That means they’re hiring contractors to tear away the old, worn out parts of their homes so they can be upgraded. The ensuing demolition creates a lot of waste debris that needs to be hauled away.
In small remodeling and renovation outfits, every employee is critical to the build. In those cases, it just doesn’t make sense to have specialized workers spending time cleaning up and transporting rubbish and scraps when they could be on site, making sure the project gets finished on time. When deadlines are looming and labor is spread thin, 123JUNK can help carry the load.
Since remodeling and renovation work typically takes place in established neighborhoods, contractors can also find themselves in a bind when it comes to disposal options. HOA guidelines often prevent placement of roll-off dumpsters on the street or in the driveway, and there are limits on the amount of trash and debris that homeowners can place curbside for weekly pickup.
123JUNK offers the solution to those problems. We work in tandem with contractors and homeowners to clean up, clear out, and haul away renovation debris and old appliances. If you have leftover building materials that were left unused during the renovation, we can also donate those items to our friends at Habitat for Humanity ReStore. And since 123JUNK is insured to enter homes and remove items, all of the stuff can be left inside, away from the prying eyes of neighbors and HOA inspectors.
123JUNK can be a valuable asset to the operations of contractors and remodelers who put quality and service first. We’re 100% committed to providing an unmatched client experience to our friends in the construction and remodeling industries as well as their customers.
The world is going green. It’s clear that environmentally conscious companies hold an advantage in tomorrow’s increasingly eco-conscious business environment. 123JUNK was created with the objective of making the biggest difference in its community and its environment. We aim to continually improve our metrics so that we can minimize our footprint on the planet and quantify our impact in the community. Over time, our 3 Step Disposal Process has become the essence of our brand. It’s why people use us and it’s what sets us apart from our competition.
We recently hired Patrick Drago as the newest member of the customer service team here at 123JUNK. As we do with all our new employees, we made sure to put Patrick to the test by placing him on the trucks for a few weeks to gain an appreciation of what it means to haul junk for a living.
